  • PaperDoc: PaperDoc company registered with the Companies Register in Paris under number B 900 654 559, with its registered office at 30 BD DE SEBASTOPOL 75004, PARIS, France, and the publisher of the PaperDoc application.
  • Application: PaperDoc, which is downloadable for free and accessible in app stores, and can be run on the operating system of a mobile electronic device (smartphone or tablet).
  • CGU: These general terms and conditions of use defined by PaperDoc, which constitute the rules for using the Services as available at the following address: https://paperdoc-app.com/privacy-policy/. The CGU are made available to the User before their registration with the Services provided by PaperDoc.
  • User Account: A personal, protected space for the User on the Website and/or the Application created using the information provided by the User through the Form and necessary to access the Services.
  • Content: Information, data, text, software, music, sounds, photographs, images, videos, messages, or any other elements made accessible to the User and viewable by them through the Services.
  • Personal Data: Personal data as defined by Regulation 2016/679 (EU) known as “GDPR” that the User has provided during their registration with the Services.
  • Usage Data: Data related to the User’s use of PaperDoc’s Services.
  • Intellectual Property Rights: Trademarks, domain names, copyrights, designs and patents, database rights, or any other intellectual property rights operated by PaperDoc and necessary for its activities and the provision of Services to Users.
  • Form: The registration form that the User must complete in order to use PaperDoc’s Services after reading these CGU.
  • Hyperlink: The referencing system represented by a word, icon, or logo that allows, by clicking the mouse, to go from one document to another on the Website or from one page of the Website to a page of a Third-Party Website.
  • Service: One or all of the services provided by PaperDoc, accessible online from the Website, the Application, or directly from the web address of the relevant Services, enabling Users to view Content.
  • Website: Refers to the website made available to Users via the Internet at the URL pulselife.com to access the Services.
  • Third Party: A service operated by third parties over which PaperDoc exercises no control, and links to such sites may be available when consulting the Services.
  • User: A natural person healthcare professional, of legal age and capacity, registered on PaperDoc after accepting the general terms and conditions of use of the Services.


These CGU aim to define the roles and obligations of the User and PaperDoc during the various stages of using PaperDoc’s Services and set out the rights and responsibilities, as well as the conditions inherent in the use of PaperDoc’s Services by the User.

PaperDoc reserves the right to modify and supplement these CGU at any time, in particular to take into account any legal, regulatory, jurisprudential, and/or technical developments, without notice and without compensation. Reconnection and continued use of the Website and/or application constitute automatic re-acceptance of the CGU and their compliance. Therefore, it is the User’s responsibility to become aware of the new updates to these conditions each time they log in to the Website or the application. However, the User will be informed by email and/or from the mobile application of any substantial changes to the CGU.

The User is expressly informed that the only version of the CGU for PaperDoc’s Services that is binding is the one available online on the Website, which the User acknowledges and accepts without restriction, committing to refer to it systematically each time they log in. Any use of PaperDoc’s Services is subject to prior knowledge and express and unconditional acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Use (hereinafter “CGU”) by Users.

The CGU are intended to regulate the use of PaperDoc’s Services and Content by Users and to define their rights and obligations.

Acceptance is materialized by a validation click from the PaperDoc Account creation page, under these CGU. In general, the User acknowledges that their consent is materialized by clicking the “Create My Account” button.

Presentation of PaperDoc’s Services

PaperDoc is a service presented in the form of a Website and a PaperDoc Application. The Websites and Applications allow Users, for their main functions, through an interactive platform, without this enumeration being considered as limiting or exhaustive, to consult information.

PaperDoc’s services do not allow Users to collect or process personal data related to patients’ health. The User undertakes to use PaperDoc’s Services in compliance with their legal, regulatory, and ethical obligations, including adhering to the rules regarding the sharing of medical confidentiality. The User is solely responsible for the content of messages with one or more Users within the framework of PaperDoc’s Services and assesses their relevance and sensitivity independently.

Furthermore, the User undertakes to:

  • Not obstruct or hinder the use of PaperDoc’s Services by other Users.
  • Protect and ensure the confidentiality of their authentication information, with the understanding that they remain fully responsible for all activities that occur on their PaperDoc Account, whether or not they are aware of them.

The User prohibits the use of PaperDoc’s Services for any commercial or promotional purposes.

The User refrains from disseminating illicit content or information contrary to public order and good morals, and, in general, from performing any act constituting a criminal offense.

Users are informed that pharmaceutical laboratories may contribute to providing medical resources and Content to Users in exchange for financial contributions. PaperDoc undertakes to clearly identify each of these contributions.

Registration for PaperDoc’s Services

Full use of PaperDoc’s Services requires the User to create a User Account and provide Personal Data such as name, first name, professional address, RPPS, etc., through a Form. Without this, the opening of a User Account granting access to all of the services offered by PaperDoc will not be possible. The use of Users’ Personal Data is governed by Article 9 of these CGU.

As the use of certain PaperDoc Services is strictly reserved for healthcare professionals falling under the 4th part of the Public Health Code, PaperDoc will carry out the necessary verifications when registering a new User to ensure the quality of Users. If it appears that the User is not a healthcare professional subject to the 4th part of the Public Health Code, PaperDoc will limit the User’s access to the Services, which Users expressly acknowledge and accept.

The User undertakes to provide truthful and accurate information during their registration with PaperDoc’s Services for the purpose of creating their User Account.

In the event that the User provides false, inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, misleading, or deceptive information, PaperDoc may, immediately and without notice or compensation, suspend or terminate the User’s User Account and refuse access, temporarily or permanently, to all or part of the Services.

The use of PaperDoc’s Services is personal and intended exclusively for non-commercial purposes. Any breach of these CGU will automatically result in the closure of the User Account.

Once their User Account is created, the User undertakes to keep their username and password confidential and personal. PaperDoc cannot be held responsible for the loss of the User’s username and/or password. The User is solely responsible for the fraudulent or non-fraudulent use of their credentials by third parties. The User accepts and acknowledges that they are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the passwords associated with any User Account they use to access the Services. If the User has reason to believe that someone is using their account or identity, they must immediately inform PaperDoc by email at nicolas.gatulle@paperdoc.com.

Each User is only allowed to hold one User Account.

Access and Use of Services

The User acknowledges that their use of the Services is at their own risk. The Services are provided “as is” and are accessible without any guarantee of availability and regularity. However, PaperDoc will make efforts to make the Services accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except in cases of force majeure or events beyond PaperDoc’s control, and subject to maintenance periods, possible breakdowns, technical incidents related to the nature of the Internet network, or acts of malice or any damage to PaperDoc’s hardware or software.

PaperDoc’s liability cannot be engaged in case of impossibility of access to and/or use of the Services.

Furthermore, PaperDoc may interrupt the Services at any time without notice, all without entitlement to compensation. The User acknowledges and accepts that PaperDoc is not responsible for interruptions and the consequences that may result for the User or any third party.

Transfer rates and response times for information transmitted from the PaperDoc platform to the Internet are not guaranteed by PaperDoc. The User acknowledges that the speed of information transmission does not depend on the Services offered by PaperDoc but on the inherent characteristics of electronic communication networks and the technical characteristics of their Internet connection (cable, ADSL, 3G, 4G, etc.) and Internet access.

PaperDoc operates on all recent browsers: Android, iOS, Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer from version 8. Versions earlier than IE8 are not supported.

Each User can install the Application on their mobile device, provided they have an appropriate subscription with their mobile operator.

The User has the option at any time to request the closure and deletion of their User Account without having to justify any reasons by making a request to contact@paperdoc.com. The User’s User Account will then be completely deactivated, and the associated data will be destroyed within 7 (seven) working days, subject to the provisions provided in the “Protection of the Privacy and Personal Data of the User” section of these CGU.

In addition, PaperDoc reserves the right to terminate a User Account without giving reasons, notice, formalities, or compensation to the User in the event of

Medical Responsibility

Users are informed that due to the complexity of the information to be processed, PaperDoc’s Services may not exclude omissions or the presence of incorrect information. PaperDoc undertakes to rectify omissions or errors of which it becomes aware or which are reported to it by Users.

The use of the Website and/or the Application does not exempt the User from verifying the information available from authorities or any other official sources. PaperDoc undertakes to provide the Services to Users in strict compliance with applicable regulations and medical ethics rules. In no case do the Services constitute an obligation for Users to follow the recommendations made by healthcare professionals chosen by PaperDoc. Users retain complete freedom in their prescriptions, which will be those they consider most appropriate in the circumstances. The use of the Website and/or the Application cannot replace the User’s decision, as they are the sole judge of the therapies to consider.

In no event shall PaperDoc’s liability be incurred for the prescription template service, and Users assume full and entire responsibility for this service.


In accordance with applicable legislation, PaperDoc has established a reporting mechanism identified by the “Contact” section on the website, which is easily accessible and visible to everyone, allowing Users to report any data that promotes crimes against humanity, incites racial hatred, child pornography, incites violence, or violates human dignity, as well as any offense that may be prosecuted under the law. The alert message transmitted to PaperDoc will automatically indicate the date and time of the alert, the sender’s IP address, and the reference to the article containing the incriminated Content.

Protection of Users’ Privacy and Personal Data

Personal Data

This article applies only to PaperDoc’s Services and does not apply to Third-Party Sites as referred to in these CGU, for which PaperDoc invites Users to consult the specific terms and conditions to learn about the conditions related to the collection and processing of their Personal Data.

PaperDoc acts as the Data Controller. Thus, PaperDoc undertakes, within the framework of its activities, to comply with the provisions of the French Data Protection Act of 1978, as amended by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the “GDPR”), and to carry out lawful, fair, and transparent processing of Users’ Personal Data.

Users’ Personal Data is processed by PaperDoc on the basis of the contractual performance for the following purposes:

  • Creation and management of the User’s account;
  • Management of the PaperDoc Site and Services.

Users’ Personal Data may also be processed by PaperDoc on the basis of its legitimate interest for the following purposes:

  • Personalization of available content;
  • Optimization of the operation and improvement of the quality of PaperDoc’s Services.

Each User has the rights of access, rectification, opposition, deletion, and portability of their Personal Data.

Personal Data can be accessed and modified online at any time by going to the “Contact” section on the website.

If the User believes that their rights have not been respected by PaperDoc, they can file a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

Upon closure of the User Account, for any reason whatsoever, the Personal Data relating to that account is deleted or anonymized. User Accounts are automatically deleted 36 months after the last connection to the Service.

Some categories of data may be retained for a maximum period of one year in order to ensure the security of PaperDoc’s facilities and for the purposes of research, detection, and prosecution of criminal offenses, and solely to allow, if necessary, the provision of information to the judicial authority.

PaperDoc may also process Usage Data, on the basis of its legitimate interest, for the purpose of:

  • Adapting content and services based on the User’s profile and behavior;
  • Promoting its Services or Third-Party services to the User.
  • No personal data will be transmitted by PaperDoc to a Third Party except with the explicit consent of the User (via the CGU).

PaperDoc reserves the right, for the proper use of the Services, to place cookies on the User’s device.


Cookies are small information files that a website can send to the hard drive of a computer and then retrieve. PaperDoc’s Service servers use cookies. In general, PaperDoc records information related to the computer’s navigation on the site (pages viewed, date and time of the visit, etc.) that PaperDoc may read during the User’s subsequent visits. PaperDoc is not responsible for any modifications or updates regarding Third-Party Sites. PaperDoc is not responsible for the transmission of information from Third-Party Sites or their malfunction.

Intellectual Property

The Website and mobile application remain the exclusive property of PaperDoc. PaperDoc holds the Intellectual Property Rights to the original elements that make up the Website and the mobile application, excluding elements posted by its partners and the logos of its partners.

By way of exception, other content displayed on the Website remains the exclusive property of their respective authors and is distributed on the Website by PaperDoc or its partners with the authorization of the rights holders mentioned above.

It is specified that the partners of the Site are solely responsible for respecting the rights of third parties for the Content they post for distribution on the Website and mobile application or send to PaperDoc.

Any reproduction, representation, distribution, or redistribution, in whole or in part, of the content, trademarks, logos, photos, images, texts, and original content published on the Website or the mobile application, by any means whatsoever, without the express and prior authorization of PaperDoc and/or, where applicable, the holders of intellectual property rights, is prohibited and would constitute an infringement under applicable law. PaperDoc reserves the right to pursue any act of infringement of its Intellectual Property Rights.

Only copying for private use for the User’s personal, private, and non-commercial use is authorized.

The following notice must appear on any authorized copy of all or part of the content of the Website: “COPYRIGHT PaperDoc ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.” Any authorized use of the elements composing or appearing in and on the Website must be done without distortion, modification, or alteration in any way.

In the context of their use of the Service, the User undertakes not to engage in acts of any kind that would be contrary to French law and, where applicable, the laws of the country from which they are visiting the Website or the mobile application, that would violate French public policy, or the rights of one or more third parties.

The fact that PaperDoc does not invoke a failure or breach by the User of any of its contractual or legal obligations shall not be interpreted as a waiver of the right to invoke such failure or breach.

The fact that PaperDoc does not invoke a provision of the CGU shall in no way constitute a waiver of the benefit of that provision.
